As I sit here over a cup of coffee staring out of the 50 year old windows of one of West Palm Beach’s most delectable breakfast restaurants, I pause to reflect on the disservice of not offering a check in deal on Foursquare. You’re probably thinking, it’s a 50 year old diner, what do you expect? The truth of the matter is that this place is although, yes, very old it is the antithesis of a stereotypical blue hair southern diner. Psychedelic art lines the painted brick walls and indie music or rock reverberate the Bose speakers throughout. This old diner is a hot spot for late night dinning and should be astute enough to know that they need a checkin special.
To their credit, it appears they’ve taken at least a little bit of time to register for the “American Express Shop Small” campaign but that doesn’t help me considering I don’t use an AMEX card.
Any good Marketing Strategist will tell you that strategy is all about research. With that, you can save a lot of time by bookmarking and subscribing to credible sources. Here are a few sites that we use as our go-to marketing resources:
E-Marketer - Digital Marketing Intelligence for Business
E-marketer is a go to resource for topics such as Social Media, Branding, or Consumer Behaviors and more. One of the best things about e-marketer is that every story comes with a companion graph or chart that illustrates relevant data pertaining to the topic like the one below.
As our team anticipates the arrival our of first Maker Bot, we’ve been spending a lot of time in front of our white board, brainstorming and sketching concepts, opportunities and ideas. We can’t wait to start printing off our own stuff!! When we run out of ideas, we found a site that can always provide inspiration from the wonderful community at Thingaverse.com.
As designers, musicians and geeky people, we have our own taste of practical tools we can’t wait to get our hands on. So we’ve put together a list of our favorite thingaverse STL models.
Headphone Shelf Hook
For every audiophile, having a dedicate place to put those big headphones away makes perfect sense with the Shelf Hook. The simple and clean design promises a clean and productive workspace with an easy access to those bulky portable stereos.
This new years eve, we decided to venture out downtown and capture a long exposure time lapse. Shorter then we expected, we put together a glimpse of our night in West Palm Beach. Armed with LED glowsticks and flashlights, we managed to capture a few cool light paintings. Interestingly enough, we captured the attention of two on-lookers who joined in the light painting fun (shouts out to you Nick & Natasha!) From everyone at the Pixil team, we wish you all a very happy New Year!
